PodAir (“PodAir,” “we,” “us”) operates a browser-based remote podcast studio at podair.com. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our service, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
1. Data We Collect
Account data. When you sign up we collect your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers provided by our auth partner (Clerk). We do not store your password directly.
Session content. When you record, stream, or transcribe in PodAir, audio and video captured during your session is transmitted through our real-time media partner (LiveKit), stored in object storage we operate (Amazon S3), and processed by our workers for assembly and export. You control retention and deletion of your sessions.
Transcripts. If transcription is enabled, audio is sent to our speech partner (Deepgram) and the resulting text is stored with your session.
Usage and device data. Standard web logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, pages viewed) and product analytics about how you interact with the studio.
Billing data. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and plan status; we do not store payment card numbers.
2. How We Use Data
To operate the service, authenticate you, record and render your sessions, generate clips and transcripts you request, send you transactional email (magic links, receipts, service notices), prevent abuse, and improve the product.
3. Third-Party Subprocessors
We use the following subprocessors to deliver PodAir: Clerk (authentication), LiveKit (real-time media), Amazon Web Services (compute, storage), Deepgram (transcription), OpenRouter or OpenAI (AI clip highlighting), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Sentry (error monitoring). Each processes data under their own terms and privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
Raw recording chunks are retained for at least 30 days after your session ends. Assembled exports and transcripts are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete a session at any time from the dashboard, which queues permanent deletion of all associated media within 30 days.
5. Your Rights
You may access, export, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights email privacy@podair.com. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you also have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and the CCPA/CPRA respectively, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
6. Children
PodAir is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. International Transfers
Data is stored and processed primarily in the United States. If you access PodAir from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to the US.
8. Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will notify you by email at least 7 days before it takes effect.
